The ideal candidate is admitted as an Attorney or Advocate, with extensive experience in corporate transactions, contract negotiations, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney or Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
• 7+ years post-qualification experience in corporate law.
• Proven track record in handling complex corporate transactions and commercial negotiations.
• Strong understanding of South African corporate and company law.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert counsel on corporate and commercial matters, including mergers, acquisitions and restructurings.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with favorable terms.
• Advise on governance, compliance and regulatory issues.
• Manage disputes and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
• Conduct legal research and analyze emerging trends affecting the business.
