Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee major construction projects in Midrand, Gauteng. You will manage every phase from design to close-out, lead site operations, and coordinate multiple stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering or construction management degree, 8+ years of PM experience, and strong skills in MS Project and Primavera P6. A hands-on leader with focus on safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in construction project management.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure and building projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, from conception to completion.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
• Manage project finances, including budget tracking, cost control, and invoice processing.
• Ensure effective communication channels between all project participants.
• Resolve conflicts and issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
