The ideal candidate has 7+ years in commercial management within construction, deep knowledge of JBCC, FIDIC, NEC contracts, and strong negotiation, financial management, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, or a related commercial field.
• 7+ years in a commercial management or senior quantity surveying role within construction.
• Strong contract law, negotiation and dispute resolution experience.
• Solid financial management and cost control skills.
• Knowledge of JBCC, FIDIC, NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize profitability and mitigate risk.
• Oversee contract administration including negotiation, variations, claims, and disputes.
• Manage budgets, cost control, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Lead procurement, tendering, subcontractor selection and negotiation.
• Conduct regular commercial reviews of project performance and identify improvements.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, company policies and legislation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Provide commercial and financial advice to project teams and senior management.
• Manage cash flow and timely submission of payment applications and invoices.
• Identify and manage commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
