Placements24 is seeking a Commercial Property Claims Adjuster in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on investigating, evaluating, and negotiating settlements for complex commercial property claims with on-site duties and policy interpretation.

You will analyze construction details, assess damage, and work with experts to finalize settlements, while maintaining documentation and timely stakeholder communication. Travel within the Richards Bay region is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial property claims experience.
• Knowledge of building construction and repair processes.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in claims management software and estimating tools, e.g., Xactimate.
• Excellent report writing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough on-site investigations of commercial property damage incidents.
• Assess the scope of damage and cause of loss.
• Review and interpret policies to determine coverage.
• Prepare damage estimates and repair scopes with external experts.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders, their representatives, and legal counsel.
• Manage a portfolio of complex commercial property claims.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain well-documented claim files and timely communication with stakeholders.
• Identify subrogation or recovery opportunities where applicable.
