Placements24 seeks an experienced Commercial Property Claims Adjuster for a fully remote role supporting clients nationwide in South Africa. You will investigate losses, assess coverage, determine repair scopes, and negotiate settlements from a home office with strong emphasis on service levels and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience adjusting commercial property insurance claims.
• Solid understanding of commercial property policies, construction types, and damage assessment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for remote client interactions.
• Proficiency with claims software and standard office tools.

Responsabilités

• Investigate and assess commercial property claims including fire, water damage, BI, and structural damage.
• Review policy wordings to determine coverage.
• Quantify loss and identify repair or replacement costs.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders, their representatives, and contractors.
• Prepare detailed claims reports with findings, coverage positions and settlement recommendations.
• Maintain organized claim files and document communications.
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, brokers, contractors, engineers and others.
• Manage caseload remotely and adhere to service level agreements.
• Stay updated on industry practices, construction methods and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize digital claims management systems from a remote location.
