Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Claims Adjuster for a leadership role in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on managing complex commercial property claims, assessing damages, negotiating settlements, and guiding policyholders and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in commercial property claims, strong negotiation and analytical skills, proficiency with claims software, and the ability to work in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial property claims adjusting.
• Experience handling complex and high-value claims.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in claims management software.
• Willingness to travel within the Pietermaritzburg region.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate complex commercial property claims.
• Determine coverage based on policy terms and conditions.
• Conduct site inspections to assess property damage and costs.
• Coordinate with policyholders, counsel, contractors, and others.
• Prepare claim reports and maintain documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and policies.
• Mentor junior claims adjusters and share expertise.
• Manage a caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the process.
