Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification with admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• 6–12 years post-qualification experience in commercial contracting, negotiation and practical legal advice.
• Ability to structure, negotiate and manage complex commercial arrangements and advise quickly.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to retail, healthcare, pharmaceutical or consumer businesses.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercially focused legal advice on initiatives, arrangements and changes.
• Identify contractual, commercial and reputational risks and propose mitigation.
• Advise stakeholders on legal implications and obligations of commercial decisions.
• Provide input on new products, services, business models and strategic initiatives.
