Placements24 is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor to join the legal department in Sandton, Gauteng. The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts and advising on associated legal risks, supporting multiple business units, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualificações

• Admitted Attorney with at least 6 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong emphasis on commercial contract law.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating high-value, complex commercial agreements.
• In-depth knowledge of South African contract law and commercial regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements including service, supply, partnership, and licensing agreements.
• Provide strategic legal advice on contractual matters to senior management and stakeholders.
• Assess and mitigate legal risks associated with contracts.
• Develop and implement standard contract templates and playbooks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
• Manage the contract lifecycle from negotiation to execution and termination.
• Liaise with external counsel on specialized matters as needed.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions on commercial law issues.
• Contribute to improvement of legal processes and contract management systems.
