Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer specializing in coastal and marine projects to join a fully remote team. You will lead design and analysis of ports, jetties and coastal defenses, guiding junior engineers and coordinating with clients.
The ideal candidate has a Master's in Structural Engineering, 8+ years of coastal/marine experience, and strong proficiency in STAAD.Pro and SAP2000.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in structural engineering with coastal/marine focus.
- Extensive knowledge of materials behavior in corrosive environments and advanced structural analysis techniques.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and analysis of marine and coastal structures, considering wave loading and corrosion.
- Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for new construction and retrofitting projects.
- Perform advanced structural modeling and simulations using specialized software.
- Provide expert technical support and mentorship to junior engineers remotely.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and construction teams to ensure project success.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant international and national standards for coastal engineering.
