Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer specializing in Structural Design to join a fully remote, globally distributed team. You will lead advanced structural analyses, develop detailed drawings, and ensure code-compliant designs for diverse projects worldwide.

With 10+ years of progressive experience and PrEng registration, you will collaborate across disciplines using ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and Revit Structure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Structural Engineering or related field.
• PrEng registration is mandatory.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural design with a strong portfolio.
• Expert proficiency in structural analysis software and BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced structural analysis and design for complex projects.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and calculation reports.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes and standards (SANS).
• Collaborate remotely with architects, PMs, and other disciplines.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and provide technical support during construction.
• Research and apply innovative materials and techniques for performance and sustainability.
