Job summary

Our client is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join a fully remote security team. You will design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions protecting a global footprint from your home office.

Lead architecture reviews, threat modeling, and automation efforts across cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) while mentoring engineers and collaborating with development and operations to embed security in the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in information security engineering, with a strong focus on architecture and infrastructure.
• Expertise in designing and implementing security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in multiple programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, PowerShell).
• Deep understanding of network protocols, cryptography, identity and access management, and security frameworks.
• Proven experience in leading security projects and mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-level security solutions, including network security, cloud security, and data protection technologies.
• Lead threat modeling exercises and security architecture reviews for new systems and applications.
• Implement and manage security infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline security operations and incident response.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security best practices into the SDLC and DevOps processes.
• Stay ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, proactively recommending and implementing defensive measures.
