Job summary

SkillsMap in Pretoria is seeking a detail-oriented Creditor Senior Clerk to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will ensure accurate processing of municipal invoices and maintain effective financial management in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.

You will be responsible for CMS invoicing, documentation verification, timely payments, GL reconciliations, and collaboration with stakeholders. A competitive package and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Finance-related qualification preferred or required.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar creditor role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Solid understanding of financial controls and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Capture, prepare, and process municipal invoices in the Creditor Management System (CMS).
• Verify that all municipal payment documentation is complete and accurate before processing.
• Ensure all municipal accounts are paid within agreed payment cycles.
• Perform General Ledger reconciliations for municipal accounts and clear reconciling items timely.
• Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders to support smooth financial processes.
• Ensure changes to banking details are properly authorised.
• Handle ad-hoc finance requests and support colleagues when required.
