Placements24 invites a Senior Civil Structural Engineer to lead the design and delivery of major infrastructure projects in Midrand, Gauteng. You will oversee structural analysis, detailing, and project management while mentoring junior engineers.

You will collaborate with architects, PMs, and construction teams to ensure designs meet SANS and international codes, manage risks, and drive successful outcomes in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• ECSA Pr.Eng. professional registration.
• 8+ years in civil/structural engineering on large-scale projects.
• Expertise in SAP2000, ETABS and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of SANS and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design for bridges, buildings, and transport systems.
• Develop project plans with scope, budgets, and timelines.
• Prepare specifications, drawings and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines for integrated delivery.
• Perform site inspections and guide construction teams.
• Manage project risks and mitigation strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous learning.
• Ensure designs comply with national and international codes.
