Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Site Agent to lead a major civil infrastructure project in Sandton. You will oversee site operations, manage engineers and subcontractors, develop execution plans, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with at least 9 years on-site experience and proficiency in project software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of site management experience in civil projects.
• At least 5 years in Senior Site Agent or equivalent role.
• Proven experience with large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of OHS Act and SA building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site activities to ensure objectives are met safely, on time and within budget.
• Lead site teams, including engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement detailed site execution plans, work programs and resource schedules.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental policies on site.
• Implement and maintain QA/QC processes across the project.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement proactive mitigations.
• Manage site logistics, plant, equipment, materials and personnel.
• Maintain comprehensive site records, including reports and safety documentation.
