Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Site Engineer in Gauteng to oversee and supervise on-site civil engineering activities for major infrastructure projects. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong technical oversight, and a commitment to safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will work closely with project managers, contractors and site teams to ensure designs are executed to specification and within budget, while maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in civil engineering with at least 3 years in a site engineering or supervisory role.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, dams, pipelines).
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and site management practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all civil engineering activities on site, ensuring alignment with design, schedule and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and safety compliance.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers for efficient resource use.
• Review drawings and specifications to guide on-site personnel.
