Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Civil Engineer to lead a portfolio of infrastructure projects in Vereeniging. You will oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control, and high-quality standards.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements. A PE registration with ECSA is preferred, with extensive leadership and procurement experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management of civil infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA or equivalent.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of contract law and procurement procedures.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from planning and design to construction and handover.
• Develop project plans, including scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
• Oversee procurement processes, including tender evaluation and contract administration.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
