Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Mahikeng, North West, to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will drive planning, design, and project management for water supply, treatment, and effluent systems ensuring public health and environmental outcomes. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Civil Engineering with Water/Environmental focus, Pr.

Eng. registration, and 7+ years of relevant experience, including modeling and CAD.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Water or Environmental focus.
Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is essential.
A minimum of 7 years in design and management of water/wastewater projects.
Experience with water treatment, pump stations, pipelines, and modeling tools.

Responsibilities

Lead design of water treatment plants, distribution networks, and wastewater systems.
Perform feasibility studies, option analyses, and detailed design.
Prepare technical specs, tender docs, and construction drawings.
Manage project execution, budgets, and schedules; supervise contractors.
Ensure compliance with environmental, water quality, and safety standards.
Engage with municipalities, clients, and stakeholders for approvals.
Perform hydraulic modeling and system analyses for water/wastewater.
Conduct site investigations and assess existing infrastructure.
Mentor junior engineers and technical staff; support sustainable water strategies.
