Placements24 in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, seeks a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to lead design, planning, and project management for water, wastewater, stormwater, and road networks. Hybrid work is offered; you will mentor staff and liaise with clients and authorities.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Civil Engineering, 7+ years of applicable experience, and a PE/Pr. Eng designation, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, EPANET, and stormwater tools.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Infrastructure or Water Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Pr. Eng. designation is required.
• Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, water modeling software (e.g., EPANET), and stormwater analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of water resource management, hydraulic principles, and road design standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and planning of civil infrastructure projects, including water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
• Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure project success.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant SANS, municipal bylaws, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee the construction supervision phase, providing technical support and resolving site issues.
• Stay abreast of new technologies, materials, and best practices in civil infrastructure engineering.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and internal management.
