Placements24 seeks a Water and Wastewater Engineer for Klerksdorp, North West, to plan, design and implement municipal and industrial water and wastewater systems in a hybrid work setting.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental degree, 5+ years’ experience, and software proficiency (EPANET, WaterGEMS, Civil 3D). Pr. Eng with ECSA is desirable, with a focus on meeting regulatory standards and delivering practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in water/wastewater design software (EPANET, WaterGEMS, Civil 3D).
• Knowledge of various water and wastewater treatment technologies.
• Understanding of relevant South African environmental and water regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good report writing and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Design and plan water distribution networks and wastewater collection systems.
• Develop designs for water treatment plants and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis of water and sewer systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Conduct feasibility studies and conceptual designs for new projects.
• Ensure compliance with water quality standards, environmental regulations, and relevant legislation.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases.
• Undertake site visits and investigations as required.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and client presentations.
