Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (BSc or BEng) from an accredited institution.
• ECSA registration is essential.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive civil engineering experience, focusing on infrastructure.
• Demonstrated project management experience, including contract administration and cost control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management tools.
• Strong knowledge of South African engineering standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of civil projects (roads, bridges, water systems, public infrastructure).
• Plan, schedule, and budget projects to meet timelines and financial constraints.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to inform design.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance and development support.
• Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and environmental consultants for integrated delivery.
• Monitor construction progress, perform quality checks, and address issues on site.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and environmental standards.
