Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer in Pietermaritzburg to lead planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects across KwaZulu-Natal. You will work on roads, water, and sanitation initiatives, contributing to community assets.

The ideal candidate holds a BEng in Civil Engineering, is registered or eligible with ECSA, and has 3–5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is required, with a focus on quality and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional registration with ECSA or eligibility.
• 3–5 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of South African building codes, regs and enviro standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering designs and specs for infrastructure projects.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and surveys.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors and stakeholders.
• Perform quality control and site supervision to ensure compliance with specs.
