Placements24 is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead large-scale civil infrastructure projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role requires overseeing planning, procurement, contracts, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery within budget and high-quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a track record in major infrastructure development, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with diverse stakeholders across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Master's degree or PMP certification is highly advantageous.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in project management, with 5+ years in a senior management role on large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing budgets exceeding R100 million.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan, execute, and deliver major civil infrastructure projects (roads, ports, utilities, public facilities).
• Develop project plans including scope, budget, schedule, and resources.
• Lead engineers, contractors, and site personnel; foster high-performance culture.
• Oversee procurement, contractor selection, and contract administration.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Manage client relationships and provide progress reports.
• Control project costs to meet financial objectives.
• Conduct post-project reviews and capture lessons learned.
