Placements24 seeks a Lead Civil Engineer in Gauteng to drive major infrastructure projects in Tembisa. You will provide technical leadership, design oversight, and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards across the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Pr. Eng. with ECSA, a Master’s in Civil Engineering, and at least 10 years’ experience, including 4 in a lead capacity. You will mentor teams and champion sustainable practices in urban development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Pr.Eng. with ECSA registration is mandatory.
• 10+ years in civil engineering design and project management, with 4+ years in lead/supervisory roles.
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects in SA.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert technical guidance on civil engineering aspects of infrastructure projects.
• Develop and review designs, plans, and specs for roads, bridges, water systems, and public works.
• Lead project teams including junior engineers and technicians.
• Oversee construction phases for compliance with specs, budgets, timelines.
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for developments.
• Ensure compliance with engineering codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies and stakeholders.
• Manage procurement for materials and services.
• Mentor junior staff and promote knowledge transfer.
• Champion sustainable design and innovative practices.
