Placements24 is seeking a Lead Civil Infrastructure Engineer in Pretoria to oversee large-scale infrastructure projects from concept through construction. The role requires strategic leadership and a track record in roads, water reticulation, and wastewater networks.

Lead design and planning, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure delivery within quality, budget, and timelines. Strong client liaison and stakeholder collaboration are essential for success in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Infrastructure or Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of complex civil infrastructure projects, including roads, earthworks, drainage, water, and sewer systems.
• Manage project teams, allocate resources, and oversee the work of civil engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Develop and review project plans, specifications, tender documents, and construction drawings.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and impact analyses for proposed infrastructure developments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project team members.
• Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring efficient project delivery in Pretoria.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective quality control measures.
• Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and client relationship management.
