Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Catering Manager for an on-site role in Mahikeng, North West, SA. You will lead a team, develop menus, ensure exceptional client service, and drive profitability across all catering operations.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in catering or hospitality, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage complex events and uphold high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive catering management or hospitality leadership experience.
• Experience managing teams, operations and P&L for a catering service.
• Strong culinary knowledge and proficiency in menu development and food presentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily catering operations including menu planning, food prep, service delivery and post-event analysis.
• Lead, train and motivate the catering team to achieve high standards of performance and customer satisfaction.
• Develop creative, profitable menus and manage inventory, stock levels, quality and cost control.
• Ensure health, safety and HACCP compliance and maintain client relationships and vendor partnerships.
• Control budgets and operational costs to ensure profitability and oversee event execution on-site.
