Placements24 is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to lead on-site event service teams in Mahikeng, North West. You will oversee setup, service delivery, and breakdown, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and adherence to standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage high-volume catering in dynamic environments across the North West region.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within catering or hospitality.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced event environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations relevant to food service.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules in Mahikeng.

Responsabilités

• Supervise catering staff during events, ensuring efficient setup, service, and breakdown.
• Ensure all service staff adhere to company standards for presentation, etiquette, and customer service.
• Liaise with the Event Manager and Chefs on-site to execute the event plan effectively.
• Manage the setup of dining areas, buffets, and bar stations according to event specifications.
• Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring quality, timeliness, and presentation standards are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment for the catering team.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive guest experience.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings with the team, outlining roles, responsibilities, and event details.
• Assist with inventory management of service equipment, linens, and consumables.
• Report on event execution, including any issues encountered and client feedback.
