Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Automotive Software Developer for our Randburg R&D facility. You will design and implement embedded software for infotainment, ADAS, and connectivity, using C++, Python, or Java, in an agile environment.

You will work with hardware engineers, system architects, and product managers to ensure AUTOSAR, CAN and LIN compliance, mentor juniors, and help deliver robust, high-performance software for next-generation vehicles.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS or Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in software development for automotive embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, or Java and embedded dev environments.
• Strong knowledge of CAN/LIN, AUTOSAR and RTOS standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software for infotainment, ADAS and connectivity.
• Write clean, documented code in C++, Python or Java.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, system architects and product managers.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards and test components thoroughly.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to process improvements.
