Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Software Engineer near Nelspruit to design and implement embedded software for vehicle ECUs and infotainment systems. You will collaborate with hardware teams and product managers to deliver high-performance software for CAN/LIN networks and AUTOSAR architectures.

The role requires a strong background in C/C++ and Python, RTOS experience, and a passion for automotive innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven embedded software development experience, preferably in automotive.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Experience with RTOS and automotive software architectures.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, AUTOSAR protocols.
• Strong SDLC understanding and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy embedded software for ECUs and infotainment.
• Implement real-time algorithms ensuring performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to define software requirements.
• Develop software for vehicle networking protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
