Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Automotive Software Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge automotive software solutions from anywhere in South Africa. You’ll design, implement, and test software for vehicle control systems, ADAS, and infotainment in a global engineering team.

Requirements include a BS/MS in CS/EE and 5+ years of embedded software experience, with strong C++ and Python skills and familiarity with CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, EE, or related field.
5+ years of professional software development, embedded focus.
Proven automotive software experience (ECUs, ADAS, infotainment).
Strong C++ and/or Python; familiarity with automotive protocols.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software components for automotive apps (C++, Python).
Implement and test algorithms for vehicle dynamics and sensor fusion.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to define interfaces and requirements.
Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues during development/testing.
