Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Automotive Software Engineer to spearhead embedded software for next-generation vehicles in Centurion. You will design, develop, and implement software across embedded systems, infotainment, and ADAS while mentoring a team of engineers and defining technical roadmaps.
The role requires 8+ years in automotive software, strong C/C++, Embedded Linux, and RTOS expertise, plus familiarity with AUTOSAR and ISO 26262.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive automotive software development experience (8+ years) with embedded systems.
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities in a lead/senior role.
- Strong in C/C++, embedded Linux, and RTOS; familiarity with automotive protocols.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and development of embedded software for automotive applications.
- Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Define software development processes, coding standards, and best practices for automotive software.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, product managers, and testing teams for seamless integration.
- Develop and implement robust testing strategies including unit/integration/system testing.
- Stay abreast of automotive tech trends, regulatory requirements and standards.
