Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Quality Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of the quality management system in a high-volume automotive environment. You will drive root-cause analysis, CAPA and cross-functional collaboration to ensure product quality from development through production.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in automotive quality and strong leadership, with hands-on experience in IATF16949, FMEA and SPC.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
7+ years of automotive quality engineering experience.
Deep knowledge of QMS and standards IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
Proficiency with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and 8D.
Experience with MSA and gauge R&R.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and maintain the QMS in line with automotive standards.
Oversee quality control on the production floor including inspections and testing.
Lead RCA and implement CAPA.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain to address quality concerns.
Conduct internal audits and support external customer audits.
Monitor key quality metrics and report to management.
Apply SPC to ensure process stability and capability.
Deliver quality training to staff.
Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects.
