Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Quality & Reliability Engineer to lead quality strategies and reliability testing across automotive systems and components. You will drive CAPA, define KPIs, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

The role emphasizes advanced quality tools and adherence to automotive standards, with a focus on delivering robust, durable products and continuous improvement throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive) or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years in automotive quality or reliability engineering.
• Experience with quality tools: FMEA, APQP, Six Sigma, SPC.
• Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and testing techniques.
• Experience analyzing field data, warranty claims, and customer feedback.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement quality and reliability plans for automotive components and systems.
• Define and monitor KPIs related to product quality and field reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement CAPA.
• Design and execute reliability tests (life, environmental, accelerated life).
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain to build quality in from design to production.
• Analyze warranty data and customer feedback to identify trends and improvements.
• Stay current with IATF 16949, ISO 26262 and best practices in quality and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers on quality and reliability methodologies.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management in a remote setting.
