Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specialized in dynamics and NVH to join a fully remote team. The role focuses on vehicle dynamics, NVH optimization, and durability through advanced CAE and experimental validation.

You will lead complex analyses, develop simulation models, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with chassis, powertrain, and CAE teams. Strong background in FEA and multi-body dynamics is required, with a track record of reducing NVH issues.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a specialization in Dynamics/NVH or NVH focus.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with emphasis on automotive dynamics, vibration analysis and NVH.
• Expert proficiency in FEA software (ANSYS/Abaqus) and multi-body dynamics tools (Adams, RecurDyn).
• Experience with experimental modal analysis techniques and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design of mechanical systems focusing on vehicle dynamics, vibration, and NVH performance.
• Develop and implement advanced simulation models using FEA and multi-body dynamics software to predict system behavior.
• Design and conduct experimental testing (e.g., modal analysis) to validate simulation results and assess performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment to integrate CAE results into design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve NVH and vehicle handling issues to meet performance targets.
• Mentor junior engineers in dynamics, vibration analysis and CAE best practices.
• Stay abreast of latest advances in automotive dynamics and virtualization technologies.
