Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive NVH Engineer to join a fully remote engineering team. You will analyze, predict, and mitigate NVH issues across powertrain, chassis, body, and interior using advanced simulation tools and experiments.

You will collaborate with global teams, develop mitigation strategies, and contribute to achieving best-in-class NVH performance while maintaining clear communication in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, or related field with NVH specialization.
• 7+ years of automotive NVH experience.
• Strong knowledge of acoustic principles, vibration analysis, and automotive systems.
• Experience with NVH simulation software and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive NVH analysis and simulation using advanced tools to identify noise and vibration issues.
• Develop and implement NVH mitigation strategies for vehicle components and systems.

About the Role

Our client, a pioneer in automotive innovation, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. This role is essential for ensuring exceptional acoustic comfort and driving refinement in vehicles. You will be responsible for analyzing, predicting, and mitigating NVH issues across various vehicle systems, from powertrain and chassis to the body and interior. Working with cutting-edge simulation tools and collaborating with global teams, you will contribute to delivering world-class NVH performance in a flexible, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive NVH analysis and simulation using advanced tools (e.g., ANSA, STAR-CCM+, Simcenter 3D) to identify potential noise and vibration issues.
• Develop and implement NVH mitigation strategies for vehicle components and systems.
• Design and execute experimental NVH testing on components, sub-systems, and full vehicles.
• Correlate simulation results with experimental data to refine analytical models.
• Collaborate with design engineers to integrate NVH requirements into the early stages of vehicle development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex NVH problems reported from internal or external sources.
• Develop and maintain NVH performance targets and specifications for new vehicle programs.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to cross-functional teams and management in a remote setting.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, or a related field with a specialization in NVH.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive NVH engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of acoustic principles, vibration analysis, and automotive systems.
• Proficiency with NVH simulation software (e.g., NASTRAN, ABAQUS for acoustics, LMS Virtual.Lab) and measurement tools.
• Experience with data acquisition and signal processing techniques for NVH analysis.
• Strong understanding of vehicle architecture and component interactions impacting NVH.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, adaptable to a remote working context.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a distributed team.
