Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Chassis Design Engineer to join a fully remote engineering team. You will lead design, development, and validation of advanced chassis systems for next‑generation vehicles.

You will leverage CATIA, SolidWorks and ANSYS to translate performance targets into robust solutions from a home office. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in automotive chassis design, strong expertise in suspension, steering, braking and vehicle dynamics, and proven ability to work

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
8+ years of progressive experience in automotive chassis design and development.
Expertise in suspension, steering, braking, and vehicle dynamics.

Responsibilities

Lead conceptualization, design, and development of automotive chassis systems (suspension, steering, braking).
Use CAD/CAE tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS) for detailed design, simulation and analysis.
Define performance targets for ride, handling, and durability and translate into design requirements.
Perform structural and fatigue analysis and dynamic simulations for component integrity.
Collaborate with virtual teams across disciplines to ensure product development success.
Specify materials and manufacturing processes to optimize performance, weight and cost.
Support vehicle testing and validation by analyzing data and refining designs.
Stay updated with emerging chassis technologies and methodologies.
Document design decisions and analyses comprehensively.
Mentor junior chassis engineers in remote team.
