Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Asset Management Engineer to join our client’s energy sector team in Mahikeng, North West. You will lead asset management strategies, drive lifecycle cost analyses, risk assessments, and maintenance planning to maximize asset reliability.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to align asset objectives with business goals, implement asset management systems, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years in asset management or reliability within the energy sector.
• Experience developing asset management frameworks (ISO 55001).
• Strong knowledge of lifecycle management, risk assessment, and maintenance strategies.
• Proficiency with asset management software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic asset management plans for the portfolio of energy assets.
• Conduct lifecycle cost analyses and risk assessments for critical assets.
• Optimize maintenance strategies to improve reliability and availability.
• Develop asset performance metrics and KPIs.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to align objectives.
• Oversee implementation of asset management systems and databases.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for asset upgrades, refurbishment, or replacement.
• Provide guidance on asset integrity and performance to cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to capital expenditure planning for asset renewal.
