Smollan Activation in South Africa requires a field-based role to ensure effective merchandising of clients’ products at store level and to maintain call cycles across liquor stores, shebeens and restaurants within defined time frequencies.

Key responsibilities include callage and coverage, relationship building with retailers, on-shelf availability, pricing compliance and POS implementation, order management, and helping outlets with order queries.

Responsabilités

• Maintain call cycles for liquor stores, shebeens and restaurants within defined time frequencies.
• Provide excellent customer service to liquor stores, shebeens and restaurants.
• Ensure prescribed SKU distribution in shebeens/restaurants and identify category gaps for both client and competitors.
• Identify opportunities to increase client products at liquor stores/restaurants.
• Ensure products are clearly visible to consumers and ensure speed to shelf on innovative SKUs.
• Pricing of products remains consistent through regular audits and flag anomalies.
• Ensure client POS is installed according to guidelines from client.
• Follow up on unfulfilled orders placed by Spaza and assist outlets with order queries.
• Understand sales targets and develop plans to achieve them; demonstrate entrepreneurship to increase sales and distribution at liquor shops/shebeens and restaurants.

Job Summary:

To ensure effective merchandising of clients’ products at store level and to ensure that call cycles are maintained i.e. Number of liquor stores/ shebeens / Restaurants within time frequencies.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Callage and Coverage -

• To ensure that call cycles are maintained i.e. Number liquor stores/shebeens/Restaurants within time frequencies.

Relationship Building -

• Ensure brilliant customer service is provided to Liquor stores/shebeens/restaurants

On Shelf Availability -

• Ensure that the prescribed SKU distribution is achieved in shebeens/restaurants


• Identifying Category Gaps for both client and Competitors.


• Identifying opportunities to increase client products at liquor stores/restaurants

Innovation -

• Ensure that products are clearly visible to the consumer


• Ensure speed to shelf on innovation sku’s

Pricing Compliance -

• Pricing of products to remain consistent through regular audit and compliance


• Identify anomalies and flag these immediately

Point of Sale Implementation –

• Ensure that clients POS is installed according to guidelines from client.

Order Management

• Ensure unfulfilled orders placed by Spaza are followed up on


• Assist Liquor stores/Shebeens/restaurants with queries that may arise from Orders

Sales

• Ensure that Sales Targets are understood


• Ability to break down targets and develop sales plans to achieve targets


• Entrepreneurship mentality is required to increase sales and distribution at liquor shops/shebeens and restaurants.
