Job summary

Metair Investments Limited is seeking a dynamic sales professional to maximize sales by delivering exceptional customer care and displaying superior product knowledge. You will contribute to effective stock management and report stock movement as required.

This role supports increased sales and customer loyalty to improve overall business results. You will attend to walk-in and phone-in customers, manage leads, adhere to pricing parameters, and actively seek sales opportunities.

• Proactive attitude to identify sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Promptly attend to walk-in and phone-in customers
• Manages incoming leads and direct as appropriate.
• Stock orders, discounts and pricing parameters adhered to
• Quotes done accurately and timeously
• Actively seek out sales opportunities
• Promote products positively to customers
• Place specials emphasis on the promotion of Exclusive / House Brands
• Focus on ad-ons to the customer baskets
• Be aware of store / individual sales targets and progress in achieving same
• Use appropriate merchandizing techniques to display stock
• Ensure all price tickets/labels are current and accurate
• Assist with in-store organization for promotions e.g. merchandizing, price tickets
• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of all special offers/ promotions and actively read catalogues and product labels to familiarize yourself with products
• Liaise with debtors / cashier to minimise payment problems
• Ensure collection of monies on delivery of parts
