Job summary

The Talent Room is seeking an experienced Sales Representative for our Cape Town branch. You will promote PPE and industrial consumables, identify new opportunities, demonstrate products, and provide quotations to close sales while expanding the customer base.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in sales, strong negotiation and relationship skills, and a proven ability to meet targets. Local residency in Cape Town is required, with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years proven sales experience.
• Strong PPE sales experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial consumables and products is advantageous.
• Excellent sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell PPE and industrial consumables to new and existing clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and generate leads within assigned territory.
• Conduct needs analyses, product demonstrations, and provide quotations/proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to close sales successfully.
• Maintain and grow an existing customer base while expanding into new accounts.
• Plan daily sales routes to maximize coverage.

• Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry trends.

Responsibilities:

• Promote and sell PPE and industrial consumables to new and existing clients
• Identify new business opportunities and generate leads within assigned territory
• Conduct needs analyses, product demonstrations, and provide quotations/proposals
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to close sales successfully
• Maintain and grow an existing customer base while expanding into new accounts
• Plan daily sales routes efficiently to maximize customer coverage
• Manage customer queries and resolve complaints to ensure satisfaction
• Record sales activities and customer interactions accurately in the CRM system
• Stay up to date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activity
• Achieve and consistently exceed monthly and annual sales targets
• Provide feedback to management on market conditions, customer needs, and sales performance
• Represent the company professionally and uphold brand values

Requirements:

• Well-spoken, professional, and presentable
• Own a reliable vehicle and hold a valid driver’s licence
• Matric qualification (Matric certificate required)
• Age between 26 and 52 years
• Minimum 5 years proven sales experience
• PPE sales experience is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of industrial consumables and products is highly advantageous
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Previous experience using a CRM system and reporting on sales calls is an advantage
• Technically savvy and comfortable using sales-related technology
• Excellent sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and driven
• Ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets
• Must demonstrate employment stability (no frequent job changes)

Location:

Maitland – candidate must reside in Cape Town itself and not have to travel from outside of CT
