Job summary

Headhunters is seeking an experienced Sales Manager in Gauteng to drive organizational sales through a robust business plan and effective team leadership. You will set targets, monitor performance, and align sales efforts with marketing for lead generation.

The role requires a proven track record in high-volume vehicle sales, strong planning skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A Code 8 licence with own vehicle is essential.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12; relevant degree/diploma in Sales/Marketing or Business Management.
• 5 years of experience in a similar sales management role.
• Experience handling high volumes (Commercial Vehicles).
• Ability to cold call and generate business leads.
• Experience with SAP system.
• Experience planning and implementing sales strategies.
• Experience in customer relationship management.
• Experience directing a sales team.
• Confident, proactive approach; anticipates issues and requirements.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.
• Read and write in English.
• Code 8 licence with own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop a business plan to manage organizational sales, including revenue and expense controls.
• Meet planned sales goals and set individual targets for the sales team.
• Track sales goals and report results as needed.
• Oversee activities and performance of the sales team.
• Coordinate with marketing on lead generation.
• Provide ongoing training to the sales team.
• Develop the sales team through motivation, counselling, and product knowledge training.
• Promote the organization and its products.
• Understand ideal customers and how they relate to products.
• Contribute to team effort by achieving related results as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Dealer Principal.
