Job summary

Headhunters in Gauteng seeks an experienced Sales Manager based in Centurion to lead a Customer Sales Consultants group, drive monthly and annual budgets, and grow profits.

You will recruit and develop a high-performing sales team, implement multichannel strategies, and maintain strong customer relationships across market segments. This role requires local presence and a proven sales track record.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent.
• Marketing/Business degree or diploma or proven track record in relevant experience is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Sales Manager.
• Must reside in or around Gauteng.
• Sales orientated, goal driven and self-motivated.
• Proven sales track record.
• Computer literacy (MS Office).
• Product knowledge relevant to the industry.

Responsibilities

• Establish and keep an up-to-date planning system for all customers.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of Customer Sales Consultants to achieve budgets.
• Accountable for sales growth and profit margins.
• Drive the company’s multichannel strategy within your group.
• Manage, coach, and develop your sales team.
• Ensure all company communication reaches your sales team.
• Ensure your sales team focuses on current focus topics.
• Travel with Customer Sales Consultants 15 days a month.
• Complete workout reports and relevant administration tasks.
• Conduct monthly 1-on-1 meetings with CSCs and review performance.
• Conduct monthly group month-end meetings with product training.
• Ensure each team member understands budgets.
• Implement the company’s sales strategy in your group.
• Oversee growth and development of the group in sales and customers.
• Investigate and action business development in market segments.
• Lead by example and embrace company culture.
• Foster inter-departmental cooperation between company and sales team.
• Carry out market research and competitor analysis.
• Build relationships with large customers.
• Maintain a desirable fluctuation rate.
• Keep data for your sales team up to date.
• Ensure geographic areas have growth potential.
• Adhere to price increases and discount authorisations.
• Recruitment of new CSCs when required.
• Handle disciplinary issues as needed.

• Travel with Customer Sales Consultant’s 15 days a month.

• Conduct monthly 1 on 1 meetings with each CSC and communicate all job expectations by reviewing, monitoring and addressing sales performance.
• Conduct monthly group month end meetings and include product training in these meetings.
• Ensure every team member knows what is required of them to achieve budget.
• Implement the company’s sales strategy in your group.
• Manage the growth and development of the group with regards to sales, customers and customer class development.
• Ensure business development in all relevant market segments are investigated and actioned.
• Embrace all aspects of the company's culture and implement them in your daily activities by leading by example.
• Ensure a cohesive inter-departmental relationship is formed between the company and your sales team.
• Carry out market research and analysis of competitors.
• Build business relationships with large customers.
• Maintain a desirable fluctuation rate.
• Ensure all data for your sales team is kept up to date and accurate.
• Ensure all individual geographical areas are fair and have potential for growth.
• Adhere to company price increases and authorization of price discounts within your sales team.
• Recruitment and selection of new CSC’s as when required.
• Handle disciplinary issues in your group as and when required and carry out any disciplinary action required.
