Job summary

Cashbuild in Kabokweni, Mpumalanga, is seeking a Sales Co (External Applications Only) to grow sales through constant customer interaction, prepare accurate quotations from building plans, and ensure merchandising and housekeeping standards are maintained.

You will manage deliveries, handle customer queries, and support the store team with planograms and price changes while adhering to OHSA safety and security practices.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with 5 years related experience, or 10 years related experience.
• Plan reading experience advantageous.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
• Above average numeric skills.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Proven ability to work under pressure.
• Must be computer literate.
• Proven strong organising, planning and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Issue and follow up quotations to generate sales, including managing special orders.
• Read building plans to ensure quotations are correct and within timeframes.
• Manage telephone inquiries, follow ups and customer communications.
• Maintain store standards, price changes, and implement planograms as advertised.
• Lead and back up General Assistants, Sales Advisors and Forklift Drivers.
• Ensure OHSA safety standards and protective clothing usage by staff.
• Foster security awareness and monitor for suspicious activity in and around the store.
