Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Polokwane, Limpopo region. This remote-first role focuses on identifying opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and accelerating adoption of our SaaS solutions across industries.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in SaaS or technology sales, strong negotiation and networking skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a distributed team. Remote flexibility and performance-based rewards are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, CS or related field.
• 4–6 years in SaaS or technology sales/BD.
• Proven track record of identifying and closing new opportunities.
• Knowledge of SaaS models, cloud tech and digital transformation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, remote-ready, able to work independently.
• Experience with CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales tools.
• Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships in Polokwane and surrounding regions.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competition.
• Develop and deliver presentations and proposals showcasing SaaS value.
• Nurture and manage relationships with potential clients and partners through the sales funnel.
• Collaborate with marketing and product to refine go-to-market messaging.
• Negotiate and close complex deals with client satisfaction in mind.
• Track and report on BD activities, pipeline, and KPIs.
• Represent the company at industry events virtually or in person as needed.
• Contribute to growth strategy and expansion plans.
