Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Regional Operations Manager to oversee mining-operations across the Rustenburg area. You will lead diverse teams, optimize regional logistics, and ensure safe, compliant service delivery to mining clients.

The role requires a strong track record in large-scale operations, strategic leadership, and the ability to travel extensively within the region. It is an on-site position with substantial responsibility for profitability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years in operations management in mining or heavy industry preferred.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale operations and diverse teams.
• Strong knowledge of mining operations, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize all regional operational activities for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee deployment and management of resources including personnel, equipment and materials.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations across operations.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to meet client demands and company objectives.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of operations staff and supervisors to high performance.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key mining clients.
• Monitor performance, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, and ensure regional profitability.
