Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Plant Mechanical Engineer to oversee the mechanical integrity of industrial equipment at our Rustenburg facility. You will manage maintenance schedules, troubleshoot failures, and implement proactive strategies to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in heavy machinery, extensive plant experience, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence in the North West province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial plant maintenance experience.
• Experience with CMMS software is essential.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance teams and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance for plant machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures to minimize production disruption.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Develop strategies to improve reliability, efficiency, and lifespan of assets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
