Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Rustenburg to lead the maintenance team and oversee daily operations of the maintenance department. The role focuses on scheduling preventative maintenance, managing repairs, and ensuring safety standards are met to keep plant machinery and facilities in optimal condition.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to a safe, efficient working environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Maintenance Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Excellent knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies and implementation.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance logs.
• Relevant trade qualification or technical degree is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling work and assigning tasks.
• Develop and implement effective preventative maintenance programs for all plant equipment and facilities.
• Oversee the repair and upkeep of machinery, infrastructure, and utility systems.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and promote a safety-conscious culture within the team.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers for necessary equipment and services.
• Troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
