Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Colesberg is seeking a Store Operations Manager to lead the store team, drive sales, and ensure compliant, profitable performance in line with brand standards.

You will manage day-to-day store operations, control expenses, oversee stock, merchandising, staffing, and administration, and develop employees to meet current and future business needs while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment with an annual turnover of at least R50 million
• Extensive people management experience of a large and diverse workforce
• Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Drive and maximize sales, track daily targets, and act to achieve plans
• Manage all operational activities of the store including expenses, stock, shrinkage, and admin
• Direct in-store visual merchandising to meet brand standards
• Lead and develop employees to build capacity for current and future needs
• Schedule staff in line with labour policy to ensure proper staffing
• Ensure weekly time and attendance and employee records are up to date
• Implement customer service initiatives to improve experience and loyalty
• Build relationships with center managers, suppliers, and DCs
• Monitor customer trends and local competition to capitalise on opportunities
• Coordinate store operations with pharmacy and clinic teams
• Foster a high performing culture delivering value to shareholders
