Dis-Chem Pharmacies Berea invites applications for a Retail Store Assistant to support the store's daily operations, assist with customer service, stock control and cash handling.

The role requires Grade 12, basic computer skills and SAP, with retail experience. You will report to the store manager and work as part of a team to meet company policies and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and report all customer complements and complaints to management.
• Establish a professional relationship with customers.
• Ensure all customer stock queries are dealt with and resolved.
• Maintain effective external communication with customers when they require feedback.
• Assist customers with enquiries and refer to appropriate departments.
• Adhere to customer turnover per hour rate as per policy.
• Manage shorts/overs at POS, including floats and returns.
• Verify deliveries/invoices for total accuracy.
• Assist Receiving Manager with distribution centre claims.
• Manage high risk stock and daily run reconciliation.
• Ensure sufficient change for cashiers to service customers.
