Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Goodwood store invites applications for a Retail Store Assistant to support store operations and customer service in line with policy and procedures.

The role requires Grade 12, SAP experience and basic computer skills. You will handle customer inquiries, complaints, stock queries, and cash handling while building strong customer relationships and collaborating with the store team.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric required.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook) and SAP experience.
• Retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and report all customer complements and complaints to management.
• Establish a professional relationship with customers.
• Ensure customer stock queries are resolved.
• Maintain effective external communication with customers for feedback.
• Assist customers with enquiries and direct to appropriate departments.
• Adhere to the customer turnover per hour rate as per company benchmark.
• Manage the shorts and overs at the point of sale, including the floats.
• Manage refunds and returns.
• Handle back shopping and returned goods correctly.
• Verify and review deliveries and invoices for total accuracy.
• Assist the Receiving Manager in preparing and logging Distribution Centre claims on the Distribution Centre claims system.
• Manage and control high risk stock.
• Prepare the run reconciliation on a daily basis.
• Prepare, order and receive the branch change requirements to ensure cashiers have enough change to ensure the best customer service levels.
• Maintain liaison between relevant parties.
• Maintain document control including float, petty cash, cash on hand.
