Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Westville Junction is looking for a Retail Store Assistant to support daily store operations and administration in line with policy.

You will handle customer enquiries, process transactions, manage stock and refunds, assist with deliveries, and maintain accurate documentation and cash handling to ensure excellent service levels.

The role requires Grade 12, basic computer skills, and retail experience, with a focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Retail experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and report customer compliments and complaints to management.
• Establish a professional relationship with customers.
• Ensure all customer stock queries are dealt with and resolved.
• Maintain effective communication with customers for feedback.
• Assist customers with enquiries and refer to appropriate departments.
• Adhere to the customer turnover per hour rate as per policy.
• Manage shorts and overs at POS, including floats and refunds.
